Die Punch
Ex-stock Mumbai · Custom sizes: 5–7 days
Die punches are hardened and tempered high-speed steel punches used in press tools to blank, pierce, or form sheet metal. We supply circular punches in standard diameters as well as custom-profile punches (square, hexagonal, oblong, shaped) ground to drawing. HSS M2 is the standard grade for mild steel and aluminium. HSS M35 (5% Cobalt) is recommended for stainless steel, high-tensile steel, and any application requiring superior hot hardness and wear life.

Ejector Pin
Ex-stock Mumbai · Custom sizes: 5–7 days
Ejector pins (knockout pins) are precision-ground, hardened pins used in injection moulds and die casting moulds to push the solidified component from the cavity after each cycle. DIN 1530 specifies straight cylindrical ejector pins with a ground body toleranced to h6/h7 and a hardened shank. The highly polished surface minimises gate marks on the moulded part and ensures smooth operation for millions of cycles without galling against the mould plate bore.

Plunger Bolt
Ex-stock Mumbai · Custom sizes: 5–7 days
Plunger bolts (spring plungers or index plungers) contain a spring-loaded tip — ball or pin — that snaps into a recess or dimple to provide a positive detent or index position. When force is applied, the plunger retracts to allow movement to the next position. They are essential in jigs and fixtures for repeatable workpiece location, in tool holders, and on production lines for indexing carriages and pallets. Available in hex body (DIN 6332) for wrench adjustment and knurled body for hand adjustment.
| Standards | DIN 6332 |
|---|---|
| Material | Carbon Steel, SS 303 |
| Thread Range | M4 – M20 |
| Tip Type | Ball / Pin |
| Body Style | Hex (DIN 6332) / Knurled (hand-adjust) |
| Locking | Standard / Locking-type (with lock nut) |
Common Applications
- Jig & Fixture Locating
- Tool Holder Index
- Production Line Indexing
- Pallet Carriers
- Assembly Fixtures
Blue-Tempered Spring Steel • 4½″ • Ø0.6 – Ø8.0
Blue Rod (Spring Steel Wire)
Ex-stock Mumbai · Sold per dozen
Blue Rod is blue-tempered high-carbon spring steel wire supplied in straight, pre-cut 4½ inch (≈114 mm) lengths across diameters from Ø0.6 mm to Ø8.0 mm, held to ±0.2 mm. The characteristic deep-blue finish is the oxide film formed when high-carbon spring steel is hardened and tempered — it indicates the spring temper and lends a degree of corrosion resistance. Because the wire is already tempered to spring hardness, components formed from it need no further heat treatment, eliminating the distortion that annealed stock would suffer. Supplied straightened and cut to a uniform length, Blue Rod is ready raw stock for fabricating springs, spring clips, retaining clips, and small formed-wire components.

Common Questions
Specialty Parts FAQ
What is the difference between HSS M2 and HSS M35 die punches?
HSS M2 is the standard grade for punching mild steel and aluminium, offering good hardness and wear resistance. HSS M35 (5% Cobalt) has superior hot hardness and wear resistance — the right choice for punching stainless steel, high-tensile steel, and heat-treated materials where M2 wears too quickly.
What is an ejector pin and where is it used?
An ejector pin is a precision-ground, hardened pin used in injection moulds and die casting moulds to push the solidified part out of the cavity after each cycle. They must be dimensionally precise and highly polished to prevent surface marks on the moulded part and to operate reliably for millions of cycles.
Can you supply custom die punches to drawing?
Yes. We supply circular die punches from Ø1mm to Ø50mm as standard, and custom profiles (square, hexagonal, oblong, shaped) to customer drawings. Please share your drawing and material requirement for pricing and lead time.
What is a plunger bolt used for?
A plunger bolt (spring plunger) provides a positive detent or index position using a spring-loaded ball or pin tip. Used in jigs and fixtures for repeatable workpiece location, in tool holders to engage locking positions, and on production lines for indexing carriages and pallets.
Do you supply ejector pins in non-standard lengths?
Yes. Ejector pins can be supplied in non-standard lengths to match your mould plate stack-up. Specify the body diameter, total length, and head style and we will confirm availability and lead time.
